CHAPTER 14

Myiera

One and half week later

It was officially two days before my 17th birthday and I was hype. Amira is sending me and Atiyah to Wild Wood for a week. I was going to ask Mya’s ass, but I’m not fucking with her like that. Come to find out she knew what was going on. Bitch where they do that at? I’m family fuck that nigga and his cousin. Her ass should have warned me.

Atiyah and I were downtown shopping for outfits for my birthday.

“Did you get your shoes yet?” Atiyah asked me as we walked into Green Guacamole on South Street.

“Girl no, Amira said if they not here by tomorrow morning she wants her money back, and she gonna take me to the Shoe Factory.”

“Oh, sup with Mya? She coming to celebrate with us?”

“I don’t know. I really haven’t talked to her like that since I found out she knew about home boy.”

“That’s a shame. He really messed up big time. He should have just told you.”

“Yup, then I wouldn’t have started fucking with him and my feelings wouldn’t be involved.”

“True.”

“Afternoon ladies, my name is Chelsea, if you need any help, please let me know.”

“Ok thanks.” Atiyah told her.

“Damn who is that?”

“What? Whose who Tiyah?”

“Girl, dude over there.”

I looked over to where she was pointing at. I’ll be damned, he was a show stopper. It took me a minute to get my thoughts together. Dude was 6’5, a true light bright with freckles, reddish brown dreads, and the perfect size nose that fit his face just right. He looked just like Pooch Hall from The Game. You could tell through his all white V-neck that his body was ripped. I’m talking Vin Diesel type of body.

“Breathe Mymy.” Atiyah joked.

“Girl, we got to leave.”

“Look at you, nope we just going to stay out his way. Your face is priceless though.”

“Come on, let’s go look at the other side.”

I found the perfect black and white dress. It was short but not trashy short. It hugged every inch and curve on my body like a glove. That’s why I love coming here for certain outfits. You never have to worry about seeing someone with the same dress you have on, and if you do then you know for a fact they got it from this store. An hour later Atiyah and I was at the register with both of our dresses and clutches to match when the guy that Atiyah was looking at earlier came up to the register.

“Chels whatever these ladies are purchasing is on the house.”

“Ok Mr. Knowles, no problem.”

“Umm, excuse me sir, no need to do that. We can pay for our things.” I told him.

“Yeah, we wouldn’t want you to lose your job behind this. Thank you, but no thanks.” Atiyah added.

Instead of responding to us he just smiled then walked out of the store.

“Oh Ghost isn’t worried about that, he actually owns this building and Pink Elephant that’s up the street. I’ve never seen or heard of him just saying something was on the house.
